About Chris Wagner
Greetings! My name is Christine Wagner and I live in a small town in Western Pennsylvania. This lovely mountainous countryside is very inspiring, absolutely lovely no matter what the season. I enjoy walking/jogging, hiking, bicycle riding and horseback riding, and pretty much any activity that takes me outdoors.
Although I am a medical transcriptionist with a degree in Health Care Management, I have been drawn to examining and utilizing artistic talent inherited from my father. This is resulting in a plethora of ideas utilizing different crafting approaches, and I am enjoying every project I work on!
I have always had a passion for animals, horses, wolves and dogs in particular. While raising and training horses, I got the idea to recycle the old horseshoes that would accumulate, and began decorating them with well-known Good-Luck symbols. These have evolved into lovely holiday-themes, wallhangings (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Groundhog Day), award plaques and individualized pet memorials. The result? Custom, one-of-a-kind decorated horseshoes, and no two are ever identical!
Being inspired by Native American cultures and beliefs is probably why I am drawn to Appaloosa horses and wolves. The Appaloosa has played a major part of my life, and I also continue to support the wolf and its place in our environment. A nice tribute to one’s horse is the horse-dance stick, and they are fun to create for the horse’s owner.
My life philosophy is pretty simple, really ... life is what it is. I believe that people for the most part try to do the best with what tools they’ve been provided by our Creator, the rest is up to us.
